TITANIC: an interview with Alan Dunne

This week on the Comic Cast we talk to Alan Dunne – a Dublin based Irish graphic designer and illustrator. He works for RTÉ Television and regularly exhibits with Brainbelt Illustration Collective. Alan talks about his current work on his first graphic novel ‘Get Off That Ship’ which sets out to chronicle the true story of Frank Browne, a member of the Jesuit order in Ireland and a prolific photographer who travelled from Southampton to Queenstown on the ill-fated Titanic and the twist of fate that saved his life. Transformers: An interview with Nick Roche

This week the Comic Cast was delighted to sit down and shoot the breeze with Transformers comic artist and writer Nick Roche. Here he talks about his highly anticipated five-comic series ‘Last Stand of the Wreckers’  with James Roberts,  his early days of doing ‘Transformers fan art for convention and fan publications, his work for IDW Publishing - ‘Transformers: Spotlight’ one shot series, ‘Transformers: Maximum Dinobots’, as well as covers for Beast Wars’ and the ‘Target 2006′ reprints as well as his work on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ for Titan.

BEAST: An interview with Declan Shalvey

This week on the Comic Cast Declan Shalvey – Irish comic book artist and all round good guy - takes the hot seat. We talk about his work as artist on the the Eagle award winning comic Hero Killers, written by Andy Winter, the mammoth undertaking of illustrating a graphic novel based on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein for Classical Comics (reviewed in our Halloween show) and his latest collaboration with Andy Winters for the forthcoming hilarious one-shot Tim Skinner: Total Scumbag that will debut at the Dublin City Comic Con as well as working on Freakshow and next years Sweeney Todd. “I’d like to do something of worth while selling out” We love this guy. Enjoy.
