Comic Cast – X-Rated X-Men

If Carlsberg did comic book podcasts they’d probably be rubbish, so that’s why the Comic Cast do them instead. On this weeks electric show we review The Complete Tales of Mugland by Ronan Kennedy, X-Force Sex & Violence by Craig Kyle, Christopher Yost and Gabriele Dell’Otto, X-Men #1 by Victor Gischler & Paco Medina as well as two World War Hulks issues - Wolverine Vs. Captain America by Paul Tobin & Jacopo Camagni and Spider-Man vs Thor by Kieron Gillan & Jorge Molina. We report live from the comics/zine fair Summer Edition in Temple Bar, Dublin where we talk with a whole plethora of comics writers/artists including Declan Shalvey, Stephen Mooney, Patrick Brown and Ciaran Lucas to name a few. In animation we ask is Toy Story 3 the Return of the Jedi of trilogies or The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of trilogies? We also review Inception: The Cobol Job - the comic book prequel to Christopher ‘The Dark Knight’ Nolan’s latest movie (and even review the movie while we’re at it!). Top that with all the latest news on everything from Scott Pilgrim to Alan Moore and you’re laughing.

Great show.
Nice interview section, but it must have been hard to fit the well you seem to be trapped in into Filmbase…
Nah,I joke. But in serious talk I was hoping to bump into yiz at Summer Edition because I’ve a little free comic to give to you.Captain Haddock is in it.

That abandoned well is more commonly known as ‘occasionally not holding the mic to our mouths when we speak’ but c’mon, it’s not as like we’ve been doing this podcast for over two years or anything.
Oh wait.
You know we love new comics Luke. Slap in it in the post.

‘The Avengers are lame’??!!! YOU ARE DEAD TO ME, O CONNOR.
You redeemed yourself a little with liking Sex and Violence. I was a teeny bit underwhelmed with it given how exciting the last few issues of X-Force were. I loved what Kyle and Yost did with the run, some of the pages during Necrosha were just om nom edible.
Any idea where (besides here) to keep an eye out for information on the Comic Festival in November?
