The Good Ship Comic Cast
Ahoy Comic Casters! Climb onboard this weeks sea worthy show for reviews of Yoshihiro Tatsumi’s A Drifting Life, Alan Moore’s The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen Vol. 3: Century: 1910, Barbara Randall Kesel’s Legends of the Dark Crystal Volume 1: The Garthim Wars, Mike Carey’s Unwritten #1, Guy Delisle’s Burma Chronicles and Joseph Larkin’s Arcade of Cruelty. Then we’ll be stearing the ship back to Ireland for some reviews of two brand new Irish comics – Gar Shanley and Salvo’s Windell Classics Compendium and Paul Maxell’s A Murdering Spree and then it’s off to Animation Island to get the low down on Coraline 3D and also Studio AKA’s adaptation of Oliver Jeffers children’s book Lost and Found on DVD. And finally we pick out the jewels of the (News) Treasure Chest to talk about the latest in casting of Kenneth Branagh’s Thor and Kevin Smith’s Green Hornet comic and we promise no more nautical references from here on in! Yar. ahem.

Comics reviwed in this show:
A Drifting Life (the best comic purchase you’ll make this year)
Century 1910 (The League used from £4.02!)
Legends of the Dark Crystal (this comic is hard to track down but Amazon is your best bet)
Mike Carey’s site (some interesting interviews with Mr. Carey on his site)
Guy Delisle’s Blog (good knowledge of French required . . .)
Burma Chronicles (another solid investment)
Joseph Larkin’s Site (the creator of Arcade of Cruelty‘s site – expect text)
Also-Ran (apparently you can order Arcade of Cruelty from this site. Maybe look harder than we did, or get it from Amazon via link below)
Joseph’s Self-Review (Larkin reviews his own book on Amazon, much to the annoyance of comics people. Man, we love this love guy!)
Irish Comics from this show:
Windell Classics Compendium (available in Sub City, Crow Comics, Forbidden Planet for 6 squids)
Salvo’s Blog (artist behind Windell posts great artwork of which we particularly like the nods to old cinema)
Dead End 23 (the website of A Murdering Spree artist Paul Maxell)
Film and Animation from this show:
Coraline trailer (looks better on the big screen in 3D!)
Lost and Found trailer (get the hankies out. No not for that you sicko!)
And the rest of the show:
Chis Hemsworth (Thor relaxing on Summer Bay)
Tom Hiddleston (Loki poses for a PR shot)
Wayne Allwine RIP (an interview with the voice of Mickey Mouse who died this month)
