Great stuff, as usual lads. Liam, if you’re digging Paul Hornschemeier’s stuff I cant recommend his grapohic novel that came out in 2004 from Dark Horse called “Mother, Come Home”. It’s really, really great. And there’s an interview with him on the Fantagraphics website with a bit on pronouncing his name:

I was just going to post and say you should use listeners calling in as the opening theme that or remix Bob’s how to say Mbleh cus I could listen to that all day.

I think Two Stupid Dogs might colour peoples opinion of us before they even heard what we had to say. That’s awesome that you tried to do a theme tune for us. I didn’t think anyone would. I might have to part with that prize after all. And if you or anybody else wanted to record something that could use as like a listener calling in we would love to use it. We just can’t promise we won’t take the piss out of you. Actually I can promise that we will.

re: the jingle/theme tune thing – I tried to come up with something over the last few days (via the magic that is Reaper and Nero’s Wave Editor, since I have neither the knowledge nor time to be playing with synthesizers) but then realised it was basically an amalgam of super mario tunes from various games. In the words of that German guy from the Simpsons, “once again I have failed”.

However, i did then realise that the theme tune from “Two stupid dogs” would be the best possible option for ye to use. I will brook no argument on this subject.

Yeah, interesting thoughts on the Irish comics scene there alright…
I hafta agree with Kyle’s idea as well, it would be interesting, hopefully wierd at times, and hilarious.I only read about the Marvel Noir series too, I think it looks interesting. But then again, I’m a sucker for Golden-Age pulp characters like The Shadow, Sandman (Wesley Dodds version) and more modern ones like good ol’ Lobster Johnson.

Good stuff as always lads Interested to hear your views on the irish comic scene, it’s something I’ve been mulling over for a while given the threads on boards about it.

On a different note, I reckon ye should totally do a reader’s comments thing or, even better, get people to record their comments (As if they were leaving a voicemail or something) and email them to you so you can play the clips in the show….
